So N35QU!K Finally Lowered his Camry, ey?

That's right, everyone, I finally got around to lowering my Camry. Ever since I got those rims on last summer, the most popular comment i got on the tread I posted was "LOWER IT". Well, now that funds and time have allowed, I have finally done so. The struts arrived last monday, and the springs last tuesday, and I've been riding on the new setup for a week now. The ride quality is amazing, and the handling improvement is nothing short of phenomenal. I took a shitload of pictures and video of the install process, and when I get my laptop back from HP I'll edit the semi-DIY suspension upgrade video I wanted to make for all future suspension upgraders.

I started at around 7 PM tuesday night and finished at 2:30 AM wednesday night XD, with help from my Dad, my brother Xavier, and my friend Jon. And now the stuff you've all been waiting for: pictures.

These are Tokico HP Struts and Intrax Lowering Springs for a Gen4 V6 Camry. Here's how it turned out.

BEFORE

AFTER

The front is still sitting a little bit higher than the rear, but that was pretty much expected, after all, the Intrax springs are actually for a Gen4 V6. I got them because they were ridiculously cheap xD. I'm thinking about maybe cutting the front springs a little to compensate for the ride height, but I'm still not sure yet.

Another thing though, whenever I turn the steering wheel, there's a thudding sound coming from the front of the car, I've hypothesized that its the spring rubbing against the rubber bushing between the bottom mount and the spring, but I'm still not sure. Any idea how to overcome this problem?

For those of you that would like to see the rest of the pictures, they are HERE.

THANKS TO ASG14 FOR HIS SUSPENSION UPGRADE DIY TUTORIAL

oh yeah, forgot to mention that it looks good! haha .... and also, dont mess with the front springs because the drop is even!

the fender gap might be unequal - but the car is pretty much level from what i can tell (idk if ur driveway is level or not - but im guessing in Cali its hard to find a truly flat driveway)

looks good. instead of cutting the spring, cut the bumpstop in half.

cutting the bumpstop wont lower the car ... it will just give you more room for shock travel before it stops you from bottoming out

Tokico HP Struts: $290 Shipped (ebay)
Intrax Springs for Gen4 V6 Camry: $70 Shipped (ebay, duh, hahaha)

For those of you who are curious as to the thudding sound I'm talking about, here's a video I just took not too long ago.
http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/phot...98795_8995.jpg

As you can see here, I actually took the rubber insert from the stock suspension and used it in the same place between the bottom of the spring and the bottom strut mount. I'm thinking that the sound is from the spring rubbing against the rubber in the bottom mount, and as a result, the spring is moving around in there, which sounds pretty bad, heh. What do I do? Do I take the rubber bushing out?
