When do you guys recommend changing the Timing belt for a 94 V6 XLE? According to the little sticker on my car, the last time the belt was changed was back in 2001 at 101,xxx miles. It currently has 159,xxx miles .
Normally The Belt You Get From Toyota Dealer Can Out Last Up To 80k..this Depends On Your Driving Conditional..for Example, If You Drive On Dirt Road/live In Mountant/drive Hard Condition....then You Better Get Replace At 60k...year 94, Normally Replace Belt At 60k...but I Know If You Drive Normal Conditional, The Belt Can Last To 80-90k... When I Replaced My Timebelt 96 Toyota Camry 4 Cylinder At 60k With Normal Drive Conditional, The Timebelt Still In Good Shape And Can Last Another 20k Miles More Without Problem...money Was Your Problem, I Keep Drive The Car For Another 20k Without Problem..then Start Saving $$ On Your Next Timebelt..
If You Do, The Following Items You Will Need
1) Timebelt, Ac Belt, Power Steering Belt, Cam Seal, Crank Seals, Water Pump And Old Pump Gasket.. Do All At One Time To Save Yourself $$ For Free Trouble Down The Road.
yes, oil pump seals. Sorry for the confusion. If you want to know if Toyota belt... Look at the belt..it has part # writing on the outside of the belt...for example part # xxxx-xxxxx something then you know it's toyota part.
