Air conditioning recharge on 1999 I4 Camry 5sfe?

How does one go about recharging the A/C on the 99' Camry? I have the refrigerant, just gotta get the recharge adapter. Anyone done this? And why can't google, or the forum search, find anything USEFUL?

I got the refrigerant, I understand I need to go buy a gauge. But where does the gauge connect to the A/C unit? Is there anywhere online that has pics on how to do it?

I'm thinking you'd better get a book. Haynes puts out a generic cooling and A/C instruction book that will get you started. Read it first then ask questions if you have any.

You dont need guages. You can use the guage that comes in the recharge kit. But if you are low on refrigerant, you need to find the leak first before wasting money filling it again.

And you will connect to the port by the firewall on the passenger side of the car when you charge it (if the location hasnt changed from Gen3 to Gen4).
