Brake Light goes on and off

My 1994 4 cy wagon (4 disc brakes) has a brake light that goes on and off. This happens often when I am driving or at start up, goes off for a few miles, then back on. I thought it was a bad switch, then it hung up two weeks ago. Hasn't done it since, but the lights still comes off and on.

low brake fluid at the brake reservior will make the dash brake light come on, have you check or top off the brake fluid?

The same thing happened to me few weeks back. The car was not leaking any brake fluid.

It turned out that my front brake pads needed replacement. Check your brake pads all around.
