Help please - Steering lopsided, wheel bent

Hi guys.

I displayed my stupidity this morning and smashed my poor Gen 3 into a barrier at about 100km/h (i think thats 60 mph).

Visible damage: Bent RH front wheel rim. Markings on RHF tyre wall.

What is stumping me though is that the steering wheel is now about 30-35 degrees off centre. I read up on the issue and guessed a bent steering arm, but the car sits perfectly straight even at 100-110km/h so i'm not sure.

any other ideas.

Your alignment is out. Get it realigned at a local shop.

The alignment wouldn't put the steering wheel off centre though would it? Wouldn't that be a seperate issue? Basically, when I drive straight, the Toyota logo is tilted 30-35 degrees to the left.

Hope it gets fixed with the wheel alignment, but I thought I would have noticed it in the driving if the wheel alignment was out (like the car pulling to one side or something)

Oh, and thank you SOOOOO much for such a quick reply.

If you hold the steering wheel straight, and the car pulls to one side, the alignment is out. If the steering wheel has to be in any other position than dead center to drive straight, the alignment is out.

Okay, thanks. That doesn't sound so serious, I'll take it to a shop as soon as I can.

Just to confirm though. I do not have to move the steering wheel myself. When I am traveling in a straight line, I can leave the steering wheel, the car continues straight, and the toyota logo is still 30-35 degrees tilted towards the left.

Once again, thank you for your quick reply.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the 14inch Camry rims for the Gen 2- SV21 and the 14inch for the Gen3 - SDV 10?
