Well, like several other people on this forum I lost a red tube from my carb cleaner can into the intake manifold. Only my problem is that I cant see it in there ANYWHERE, which means it already fell down into one of the 4 channels. The other thing, is that the car is cold right now and has not been run in 2 days. It's not warm where it would have already started to melt the tube.
Am I going to have a problem here? I REALLY dont want to have to take the intake manifold off!
HELP!!

Take the intake off, because the length of the tube it could be proped somewhere along one of the channel, you don't want it blown down the manifold and jam a valve. Worse yet, if it melts in your engine, you're ****ed. Take it all off (plentum, manifold), and check for sludge too, then relocate knock sensors because it helps.
If you have 120 volt a/c current nearby, get a shop vac or any vacuum cleaner with attachments and duct tape the wand to the throttle body. Now hold the throttle open all the way and turn the vacuum on. After about a minute, shut the vac off and check inside the canister of the vac for the straw.
I tried...didnt get anything. I already have the throttle off, so I didnt have to hold it open. I pushed the vacuum all the way in there for a while and still didnt come up with anything.
Im so pissed right now I could push the car off a cliff. Im soo tempted just to start it up and hope for the best.
Ive searched and searched but cant find threads where other people have done this to see the outcome. Can yall find any?

Got it out and put back together! Ended up using a piece of crap shark mini with a flexible hose. I was able to feed it down the first tube in the intake manifold and LUCKILY it was in that one!
Ive never had that shark work worth a flip the whole time we've owned it, but it came in handy today!

I'm glad it worked for you. I know it must be a load off your mind. Don't feel bad. I did the exact same thing myself once. Mine stayed in the plenum itself. I was able to get it out with one of those flexible pickup tools with a claw at the end that opens and closes on the object. Now when I clean a throttle body with a spray cleaner, I wrap masking tape around the straw and then around the body both sides of the spray can. Never lost one since.
