Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
mods im not sellin, just tryin to get opinions on this and i cant get many in the "cars for sale" section, but move if you must. i MAY be getting another car soon and if i do then is bye bye camry. but im torn on whether to part out or just sell it outright with everything on it cuz its much easier. parting out is hard cuz i have nearly 0 stock parts for it and would have to buy them to sell the car after parted out of the performance stuff.
so ok the car. i bought the car for 5500 and put 8K miles on it for a total of 180K
engine: runs perfect no codes, URD/Walboro 190 fuel pump, jims's fuel mod, the intake and supercharger. about 50K total on the SC, serviced 1000 miles before i bought it(confirmed).
exhaust: totally custom, 2.5" Ypipe, highflow cat, 3" resonated cat back. currently leaks like an SOB.
tranny: runs perfect no mods cept a tranny cooler.
suspension: shocks and springs, sway bar. needs all new strut mounts.
interior: kinda dirty but all there. infiniti speakers and a sub and amp in the trunk.
exterior: TRD lip kit, JDM gracia front bumper, HIDs, 17" wheels and tires been on 6 months. dent and paint scratches in drivers side front and rear doors as well as little nics and sctraches all over the body.
other: ericsol caliper upgrade, other verious goodies here and there.
ok so how much would yall pay...and be honest? i realize by posting this that some may start circling like sharks since i would more likely sell it in pieces but as a whole package i think its pretty good.
If you do part it out, would you also be selling the sc as well?
Anyway, with all the mods on it still, I probably would offer around 6500 or so. I know that's a lowball offer though, but I know how much a stock camry goes for around here around that age with that many miles, and that would be a premium to that. It does have a lot of appealing parts to it, makes it pretty unique, but you'd have to find someone who's familiar with Camry's to find someone who'd pay a real premium for it.

my bro is trying to off load his GT-S for the remainder of his loan which is about 2 grand less then the cars blue book. better gas millage, 100K miles less then my cam, light as a feather...basically a purpose built car, somthing the camry is not...well not the purpose most of us have in mind. unfortunatly its an auto which i didnt want, but it has sport shift. but for the money i save i can do the manual swap and still make out like a bandit.

The auto on the GT-S is a slug, don't get it. It takes out the hit from Lift.
im well aware of that. many say is actually slower then the GT auto and definatly slower then the GT manual. but for the 6300 im gonna pick it up for its still a great deal. its no slouch either. it would give a V6 auto camry a run for its money, prolly loose but it handles like its on rails and looks 10x better. either way its a good 3000 less then the closest 6 speed and fits all my needs. but enough about the celi.
I went Autocrossing in my V6 Camry against my girl friend(space in between)'s auto GT-S. She has Azenis, I had Azenis, but my was off size, she has full springs/struts and I was stock. I was right up her ass with my car. The auto is really weak and that plus/minus shit on the steering wheel is lame, you can't use it during spirited driving cause the buttons are so damn small.
Also swapping on the Celica is more expensive than say the Camry, their transmission is HELLA expensive, and since its a smaller car and all, its not as easy to do, plus its OBDII you have more electonics to deal with compared to say a OBD I Camry where the bulk of the swaps are coming from.
Oh sorry... well... I still haven't found out, how far away are you from me? I'm right on the west coast on thr border.
thats ok, i know your just tryin to help. but ive been well warned about the transmissions pitfalls and the price out weighs it(gas millage has a big part to do with it). thats why i didnt want to get into it, ive done my homework.
well i live in college park Maryland....so, the other side of the country. ud be welcome to come get it if i decide to sell...that is if your willing to pay the right price.
