Rear disk hubs!

Does anyone have a set of disk brake hubs for a gen 3? I'm finally getting nice rims and I can't stand to see those ugly drums back there for very long!!!

I think you are better off going to the j-yard for that.

paint the drums! much easier than doing a drum to disc brake conversion.

Actually he means the hubs. Go to the junkyard and grab the whole setup. Hub, rotors, and cables. Pretty much just yank everything south of the strut. Of course buy new rotors as getting those rusty ones machined is pointless.

Yes I mean the hubs, I can't put rotors on drum brakes, and painting the drums is a pet peeve of mine, instead of just being able to see the drum brakes through the wheels, you see BRIGHT RED drums screaming, "HEY LOOK AT ME!!! I HAVE REAR DRUMS!!! I'M A POSER!!!" lol ahem. If there isn't rotor surface showing, it isn't worth showing off.

I'm gonna go to a yard but I knew a couple guys on here that had sets lying around but I can't remember who they were... Why go pull a set when I can get them from a Camry buddy?

Drum and disk hubs are the same according to the parts store and my own experience. When I did my v6 brake swap, I grabbed the whole backing plate assembly ( caliper bracket/e-brake drum guts/e-brake cable ) rotors, calipers, and even pads ( brand new, couldn't resist )!! I re-used my 4cyl drum hubs, and they fit no problem.

BTW the front hubs are also the same, so why not grab all the v6 brake stuff ( calipers, rotors ) while you're there? WAY better stopping power, and an incredibly easy re- and -re conversion. Just make sure you get everything from a NON-abs v6 car. You just need to cut off the front dust shields to clear the rotors and have at least 15" wheels. ( If you cut the dust shield, you don't need to swap the knuckle to get the bigger shield. )

Hope this helps.
