Need exhaust opinions

So, here's the deal. The last couple of weeks I've noticed my exhaust having more of a 'drone' sound than normal. That, and I've not just been getting other car alarms to chirp at work, but now am setting them off going through the garage, which has led to the security group to ask me to start parking outdoors at our non-attached parking lot after a couple of complains. It's been > 100 degrees with the heat index and I'd just rather not have to park out in the sun during the Memphis summer.

Anyway, tonight I was doing a walk-around of the car (just got some new potenza 215/50/17's Monday so I was admiring) and noticed a bunch of what looked like pulled apart steel wool sticking out of my muffler. When I pulled on it, I pulled a little more than felt inside and realize that the baffling has become loose. So, it looks like I'm in the hunt for a new exhaust. I'm thinking of doing a couple of different things. One, I could find another muffler to attach to my 2.5 inch exhaust piping, but I'd need to find the quietest I could that wouldn't sound like a fart-cannon (would like to get away from the coffee-can sized muffler outlet, too, lol). Or, I could spend $205 and get a complete oem-sized catback exhaust (pipes, resonator, muffler) from ebay and just ride it out until next spring.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I'm not planning on anything over the top for the car, currently relocating the guages I had on the a-pillar to below the radio and getting new tint and getting the front bumper and hood repainted, then I'll probably just drive it for awhile. It currently has a Greddy Evo muffler on it, and if it was in better condition I'd just sell it.

Flowmaster is pretty quiet. Or magnaflow, it's loud only at 2000-2500rpm (drones when cruise)
