Yeah the import's exhaust has a side intake, if you get under the car and look at the oem muffler it doesn't have straight in the back intake but instead on its side. that's why you often see people with fart can placed skew. Go to a real muffler shop and they'll weld you a new one. My mechanic doesn't do weld either.

i think you may have been miss informed. angled mufflers is not because "imports" have the connection on the side of the muffler. they do it to get rid of bends in the exhaust which saves money since its harder to bend large diameter pipes, its less restrictive and allows for a longer/bigger muffler.

yall's mechanics prolly dont want to do it or dont know how. i have had 4 exhausts installed on my various camrys and there never never been a problem. find another shop like an exhaust shop who actually wants you money and they will have no problem doin it

Yeah, I can agree with that. I've been to shops where the tech I'm dealing with either doesn't have the capabilities to do something or knows how hard it is and is too lazy, and gives me a bs excuse. If you find an shop that specialized in an exhaust, they can do it without question.

hey yeah i think i'm gona take it to a muffler shop

i dont think it's not that he didnt want my money, the work i got done came to almost 1200 before the muffler was even mentioned.. (got struts, new transmission fluid kit, engine mount and new sap)

so i think i'll do just that, not that i want a straight thru muffler for loud ass noise, just a better looking chrome one..

Yup, most people call the sideways exhausts "JDM Angles" heheh...since if its a REAL exhaust, they take out most of the un-needed bends out of it, resulting in an exhaust that sticks out at a different than stock angle! ^^

I think they look good personally XD
