USA 2 parter - wire run and dash lights

Hey guys i got a 2 parter for you.

I have a head unit hooked up to the wiring under the passenger seat (cut the factory amp out). The wires for the front left speaker are shot somewhere between the seat and the door. So, Im going to run the wire from the head unit directly to the wiring in the door. What would be the best way of going about this?

Additionally, every now and then two lights light up on my dash. This is the battery light and the brake light is out light. They flash together whenever this happens. All my brake lights work and my battery is fine. Any idea what this could be. It happens at random times, not just when i hit my break or whatever. Sometimes theyll flash just once, sometimes theyll flash 3 or 4 times, sometimes theyll light up for about 5 seconds then go off. There is no effect in the performance of the car. Car runs 100%.

Whatever controls my cruise control is messed up because my car can cruise straight but when it needs to shift or brake it jerks and the cruise control shuts off. The transmission is fine though otherwise. The 2 dash lights flash when cruise is off though. Are these connected somehow?
Also, every now and then, the clock turns off and on but does not reset.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Uhh...you really messed up by doing this...

"I have a head unit hooked up to the wiring under the passenger seat (cut the factory amp out)."

Behind the stock stereo there are 2 connectors off to the right side connected to other connectors. All you had to do was disconnect those (this would bypass the stock amp and run straight from your new headunit to the door/rear deck speakers) and connect them to your head unit with a universal wiring kit.

Nothing would have needed to be cut.

As far as the other issue goes, sounds like you have some wires that are shorting with each other. I'd check the wires where they go through the firewall area. Maybe the grommet was moved and they were rubbing against the metal and over time, cut the wire protectors enough to expose the wires and they are touching each other or both are grounding out.

Nice tip, ill probably rewire that then and maybe the speaker will work!

Im guessing i would buy the harness that has the 2 connectors and not use the one i bought for the factory amp system?

Of course the cruise is designed to shut off whenever u apply brake/ turn the switch.

Would i still be able to wire it with those 2 connectors behind the radio even though i cut the wires by the amp?

I know that when i press the brake the cruise shuts off, but im saying while im driving and need to go up hill or down hill the cruise cant control the car, and the car jerks, the cruise control light blinks a few times and then shuts off and i cant turn it back on untill i turn off and turn the car back on.

i think it would work. If it doesnt you can just go buy some 18gauge wire and crimpers then use a vise grip to crimp all the cables and connect them together.

Its saying the after market harness without amp integration is for power/4 speakers. Are my tweeters still going to work? I'm pretty sure they are wired together in the door right?

Thanks
