Shift Solenoid A problem

I have a 2000 Camry LE I4 with theft system, and it keeps pulling a P0753 code whichis an open or short for Shift Solenoid A. I replaced the solenoid and the computer and it's still pulling that code. What should I do?

If you have not resolved this issue, try disconnecting the battery for a half hour and see if that resets it.

What were your original symptoms, by the way?

Broken solenoid wire or connector? Did you bench test the solenoid before replacing it?

It ended up being when I put my motor back in after replacing the timing belt and water pump, i accidently ran the harness between the two throttle body hoses. It pinched the harness to the EGR valve, melted three wires together, and grounded the shift solenoid.
