98 Camry Questions

Hi all,

Proud new owner of a 98 Camry after my 97 Corolla met its demise in an unfortunate accident (hit while it was parked on side of the street). The Camry has been fantastic so far, although it has a few quirks, which I'm not completely sure are normal or not. Here is a list of questions I have which hopefully should be easy to answer. Appreciate any and all help!


1) I noticed that music does not play through the front left speaker. The other three speakers work great. The previous owner had aftermarket stereo installed professionally so I don't think there's an issue with the wiring there. Any obvious way I can check connections?

2) Most of the time the car starts fine. Twice, we had an issue where after starting the car, it would quickly stall. We overcame this by pumping gas while starting. We're not so worried about it now, but thought I'd check into possible explanations proactively. Is this consistent with the throttle body being clogged/dirty?

3) The passenger windshield wiper, in the resting position, is not completely in the correct position. E.g., it stops about 1 inch higher than it should be. I tried putting it back into the right position but met resistance. It's mostly a cosmetic issue, but wondering if there is an easy fix.
