3rd Generation Help I'm Stuck!

I'm in the proccess of replacing my axles and my tie rod ends are totally stuck. I've tried different size gear pullers and beating the hell out of it for a while now and it won't budge. Anybody have any ideas? '95 4cl auto

When you say you've been beating on it, where and how do you mean? Try this if you haven't already:

1996 Avalon XLS, ABS brakes, moonroof, white, acquired w/ 139k miles, now at 261k.
2001 Yamaha FZ1, Ivan's jet kit, resprung all around, Ohlins in the rear, Race Tech cartridge emulators in the forks, 45k miles.

Just tryin' to pay it forward! I've found soooo many fixes on TN for problems that I've been living with.

Actually, I found that technique here on TN (don't remember who posted it), but only after I had destroyed the tie rod end on the other side trying to use a pickle fork. I couldn't believe how well it worked. Coupla whacks and boink, she popped apart!

man,

you have to straight the pin with your flat plyer (sorry my spell)... then take a small hammer knock the pin out then take flat screwdriver to take it out...then you need to loose the BOLD (tide rode) off...then you take a big hammer khock on the side of tide rod where BOLD is...Do not khoc on the rubber because it out damage..when you khock, u have gently then hit hard..to get the tide rod pop out (up)...

do don't hit where the thread hold the BOLD...it'll damage...just hit side and hard and it will come loose...

they make special pullers for separating tie rods. pickle forks work too but can damage the dust boot if you arent careful. but i beg to ask the question, why are disconnecting them? i did both axles and left the end links attached. i just had to turn the steering wheel to gain the extra wiggle room needed.

Went to the auto parts store and bought one of those forks and they just popped right out. I'm just going by what the service manual says thats why i was disconnecting them. Thanks guys
