I had to slam on my brakes today, and the back ones locked up. I don't know what happened with the front ones. I have all disc brakes, and didn't think I had ABS. Until I remove my windshield washer resovior and see this thing located in my pictures. When I turn on my key, I have no ABS. Could it be the previous owner removed the bulb due to some ABS error?? IDK.
Thanks,
Adam
Ok..Its a silver box....i don't know how to post pictures on here....soooooo yeah..can someone help me there??

Yeah, it could be the bulb has been removed or it's burnt out. I don't know of any way to check it without removing the instrument cluster and checking the bulb. Maybe someone else does and they'll chime in.
Another way to find out if it's working would be to pull the error codes. Do a search on "ABS codes" (without the quote marks) and you'll probably find a thread telling how to do that. It was posted quite recently.

if there is no dash light that lights up is there some other way I can test to see if it works, besides stepping hard on the brakes. I did this and the rears locked up. Is the ABS only on the front two brakes??
thanks,
Adam

When you turn the key, and all the dash lights come on, you should see the "ABS" light on as well. And it;s a 4 wheel ABS system. So either your ABS is not correctly working, or you need to bleed the brakes which may help.

ABS/Wheel Speed sensors could be shot .... you definitely have ABS because you have the unit that you pictured, and you have 4-wheel disc on a 4cyl model
theyre not cheap to replace, but if you asked your local stealership they could diagnose the problem and give you a quote
