The Camry woke up yesterday after work...
Towards the end of my shift I pulled it up outside my bay and seafoamed it. 2/3 of the can in the tank, and 1/3 inducted through the brake booster hose. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then made a lot of smoke. If it hadn't lasted as short as it did, I was about to start worrying about what it was doing to my catalytic converter... Anyway, with that done, I pulled it in, did an oil change with a toyota filter, replaced the spark plugs with Denso OEM plugs, same with the spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor. Also cleaned out the throttle body pretty good.
While it was sitting in the shop, all I noticed was a slightly better throttle response. I wasn't expecting anything major, I just did all this for maintenance. When I got out there onto the street I take home and hit the gas a little in 2nd gear, I was pretty surprised. It's not fast by any means. It's still a 2.2 4-cyl in a 4-door sedan, so it'll never be quick, but it had a lot more balls. I even got a hint of torque steer when I floored it.
Needless to say, i'm impressed with the big difference an induction cleaning and ignition tuneup can make.
