Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
its been a while since I posted on the forum, hope everyone is doing good.
I still got my 96 2.2L running strong and indestructible.
Today I got a deal on a 1996 V6 coupe for about $4500 USD. I know they're extremely rare to find, and there are only 2 in the city I live in. Its done about 130k miles. The guy wants to sell it in a couple of months, and I'm willing to give him cash for it. It looks extremely clean, and we all know getting a Camry fixed is very cheap incomparison. So what do you guys think. I feel inlove with it the moment I saw it. Some advise plz.

its a little high imo. I paid 4k for a 98 4 cyl with 102k. And i paid only 3k for a 95 6cyl 4dr with 145k. I mean sure a coupe is rare but i think something in the 3k range is a good and reasonable price. For 4.5k you could find a 6th gen accord coupe.

98 4Cyl huh? Not relevant. Also the Accord Coupe is MUCH more common than the Camry Coupe.

its def relevant. Its a newer car with less miles and sure it has only a 4 cyl but still. If the v6 n the coupe was that worth while then you would think the olders camry price would prob be equel to the newer car. Its not.
4.5k is a LOT of money for a old 95 car. I didnt even want to pay 3500k for my 95 v6 dr. And i didnt, I got the guy to go down to 3k.
I mean for that cash a Accord Coupe would be better. Its a newer car. It's still a good quality brand. And you can find them in V6s as well.
Also kbb is okay for finding a ballpark figure, but its not that accurate. I find it to overprice cars. Which might not matter is the car is worth 10k but when they get down to a few k like our camrys, every hundred makes a diff. Its just not an accurate representation of what you pay in the real world.
