Need feedback on suspension options

I need to replace my suspension on my 99 camry v6 (struts/mounts and springs) in the next month or two. Well, really now but prob. wont have the funds till then. So I'm considering my options. I want to go stiffer, as I do push my car hard on backroads and would like to autox it occasionally. Not looking to slam it or anything. Prob. 1-2 inch drop at the most. So ride height isn't exactly a major deal here. Seems if I go with a simple strut/spring combo that Tokico and Eibachs sound like the ideal setup along with oe toyota strut mounts. However, not sure if itd be firm enough for what Id want plus wouldnt mind having the adjustability of a coilover setup.

If going with coilovers debating on what brand to go with. Obviously this would be more money but suspension is a crucial element and not something I want to skimp on. What brands are offered? I know of K-sport, JIC, and Tein. I'm gonna avoid K-sport as I've read where their dampers blow too easily. I've heard mostly good things about JICs. I've heard some people have bad experiences and having to get them reserviced due to blown dampers, but these incidents seem to be less frequent that what I've read about K sports. I havent heard much about the Teins but from my understanding they dont come with pillowball mounts, so no camber adjustability up top.

So my question I guess is what do those of you with exp. in this matter recomend or have to say? Maybe I can get some more concrete info and maybe anyone can inform me if there's any other brands I'm overlooking. I'm really leaning towards JICS right now, despite the high cost. I was gonna go with the FLTA2 setup as seems to be what most places still sell unless I find someone that has the TARs in stock, even though those seem to be even more $$. Basically this will be the last mod I'm gonna do to my car for a while. My job situation will be uncertain come December but my suspension is in need of replacement so it is something I have to do out of necessity.

Tokico + H&R Sports, not Eibachs ... JMO because the extra drop will help you a bit, and Eibach Pro-Kit's are notoriously softer than stock springs on most makes

as far as coilovers, all dampers will blow if not installed properly - the reason k-sport gets its bad rep is because they offer a budget coilover system for almost all cars ... which means they flooded the Honda/Nissan market and those guys throw them on without proper installation, but K-Sport has one of the best Customer Service depts out of all car companies ive had to deal with ... and their replacement part prices are reasonable if you have a steady income

if i were to do it all over again and pay full price, i would probably get the JIC's with that being said ... and i would go custom rates, custom valving, the whole 9 yards - just because it can make SO much of a difference

but remember that if you have family driving the car, or passengers - they will not appreciate the harsh ride of coilovers .... especially if they dont know much about cars, or dont understand suspension

note that JIC's new naming system = FLT-TAR and FLT-FAS for their two coilover types, so the "FLT-A2" doesnt really exist anymore
