3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I went to a local tuner shop (Einox tuning) and they gave me this estimate....
(TRD supercharger install, i have the charger already; a water pump and timing belt which has never been replaced before; install of an o2 sensor and cold spark plugs.)
$1,028 w/tax.
this isnt including any tuning.
their rate is $65 an hr, and they have me for 13 hrs....
If anyone can tell me if this is a good deal or i'm being overcharged please let me know. thanks.
I bought the supercharger froms someone else on TN and i was wondering if it was supposed to come with fuel injectors (larger ones) Einox told me that it should come with them....is that true? thanks
^ Um, unless he has a LOT of car knowledge, it;s NOT as easy as you think. So by what you say, if you can;t replace an engine, you should not be driving.
That price seems a little steep. I can install the SC from start to finish in under 3 hours becaus eI know it so well. 2WickedToyz on the forum is not far from you, and could do the SuperCharger cheaper, and he is a Camry specialist. I'll give him a call and have him post up.

That would be really nice, I'll wait for a post from him to see what he has 2 say. 3 hrs? wish u were in my neighborhood . but do take into consideration the timing belt and water pump, thanks.
thanks for the heads up adam. you got pm cjchapar.
and yes if you cannot do a engine swap, suspension upgrade,5spd swap, complete I4 to v6 swap, and engine rebuild....you should not be driving...
oh also if you cannot strip a camry to bare chassis in 4hours then you shouldn't be on this forum
adam you belong here more than anyone you do it on a weekly basis
