Wheel Bearing Question

I have a 99 Camry ce both rear wheel bearings needs to be changed. My question is Can the ABS wheel bearings still work in a Non-ABS car?

Typically the only difference is the added ring for the ABS. The ABS model will probably fit a non ABS car but why not just buy what you actually need?

Clearly I've never tried, but i imagine that it would fit. The only difference that I can think which exists in the ABS model would be the rotor on the hub and the hole drilled in the steering knuckle for the sensor. I imagine the dimensions between the two different models would be the same.

Alternatively, buy the appropriate part.

I have already bought the bearings they cost 207. they also sell the bearings and the hub already together but they for cars with abs. with the bearings that I have now I will have to remove the bearings from the old one and press it on to the new bearings. the abs one is 146 for both and it comes with new hubs and studs.

According to the "96greencamrylev6" in the thread linked below (see post #7), a wheel bearing cartridge with the ABS tone ring wouldn't fit in his '96 w/o ABS.

Rear wheel bearing R & R - How to and why

UPDATE: I just installed both bearings yesterday. I bought the abs one. I knocked out the abs gear very easy to come off. The bearing assembly mounted right up with no problems. Thanks
