Do a search for threads about changing the door handles -- changing the lock cylinder is exactly the same.
Find a thread with pictures showing where the interior door panel has screws and clips.

The only difficult parts are releasing the bezel around the interior door handle and finding the dropped screws when you remove the exterior handle. I suggest a 10mm socket with 4" or longer extension and a dab of the black gooey stuff from the door plastic to hold the nut onto the socket.

I found the following page useful, but it's only available through the WayBack machine

I just did something like that on my camry (gen 3) I got it with two sets of keys and still didnt have a key for 2 of the 4 locks so I removed them all and actually reconfigured them all to fit one key.

what you have to do is remove the door panels and then use a 10mm hex to remove 3 bolts (I think its 3) holding the door handle in.
once that is done you have to disconnect the plastic pieces holding the rods inside to the door handle and and lock, they should swing out it was a little tough for me but after a little while I was able to do it.
then remove the whole door handle and work on the lock which you should find other posts about - if not follow up and I will try to help

sorry about the confusion its a little rough without any pics,

I dont know if this is the correct way but it worked for all of my doors

I have to remove the door lock cylinder on my 94 camry since it's hard to turn and graphite lubricant didn't help. I have used several threads in the forum which have great instructions for removing the door panel. I have the panel off and have removed the two screws holding the outside door handle on.

Now I have to disconnect the two rods (one to the handle and one to the lock cylinder), so that I can take out the door handle. I can push on the yellow plastic connector so that it rotates up, but I can't figure out how to remove the rod. It looks like there's a lip on the rod so that you can't just pull it through the hole in the plastic piece. The outside door handle moves around, but I think I need to disconnect the rods to get the handle out.

Any ideas on what I need to do next?

Thanks

I answered my own question. I just had to pull harder, and the rod with the lip (the one connected to the door handle), came out of the plastic holder. The rod connected to the lock cylinder didn't have a lip on the end, so when the plastic holder was lifted up, it came loose easily.

Thanks eaglemtn for your postings. I was able to replaced my exterior door handle with the info you provided. It wasn't easy and I definitely couldn't have done it without your help.
