I have not personally experienced this, but you may have a short in your backup lights. Have you added a trailer light harness recently?

So it blows the fuse only when you move the shifter from Drive to Park? I'd look for a wire/cable short to ground coming from the shifter. I'm presuming your shift lever has an Overdrive on/off button on it.

Check wiring where it jumps from the chassis to the trunk lid for damage.

Could not get it to blow yesterday, but today I left it in neutral, and the fuse blew right away! It seemed the gear indication light for neutral, in the instrument cluster, got brighter as the fuse blew. (that could be my imagination) I just did an engine change also, so I might have a wire pinched or something? Just a reminder, It is blowing the instrument cluster fuse in the dash 10a, it blows and the dash gauges, lights, and everything goes dead.

doubt its coincidental we both recently swaped engines and are now having the same fuse problem....
