3rd Generation Need help installing my aftermarket headunit

Hello all
I have a 93 V6 LE with radio and 6 disc cd changer in the trunk and factory amp. 6 speakers.
I got my HU for cheap (amazon.com), it didn't came with any wiring harness to bypass the amp. I took my factory radio off and I saw there is only 1 connector in the back. I look at the factory amp there are 2 connectors, it looks similar to the 87+ radio wiring harness.
My question is: Do I use the 87+ radio wiring harness that is connecting to the amp and runs longer wires to the dash to hook my aftermarket HU?
Or
use the one connector located at the dash to hook up the aftermarket HU then bypass the factory amp

Thank You

I had the same setup in my '93 SE. Just use the 87+ style connectors that go into the amp and it will be fine.

if you look further in, there will be two more harnesses that are the ones you are supposed to use. I had the factory amp also. Just follow the single harness that was connected to the oem radio and you should see them.

Exactly. Same on my XLE. They are down and to the right, shoved down into the corner. Use a flashlight.

Ya their is a second set of connectors to the right. But you can use either the 1 set or the 2 set connectors. if your headunit is good i would use the 2 connectors. That will bypass the stock amp. But if your headunit isnt as strong as the stock amp, then your system will be downgraded by using the 2 connector harness.
