Driver's side power window works when it wants to

Well, my car is starting to show it's age again.

It's been like this for the past 4 months or so, the window has a tendency to get stuck. Rolling the window down is smooth in most cases; if it's stuck I just put the auto-roll down, open the door, and close it to shock the mechanisms a little bit, and it rolls down without a problem.

But if I want to roll it back up, I have to either pull the window upwards while toggling the power window button (slow, chuggy process), or if I'm really unlucky and the window is rolled all the way down, I have to open the door, pull the window button and slam the door for it to go up (and it rarely goes all the way up, and it goes really really slowly.

I'm guessing I'll have to pull the door panel apart and take a look. Any DIY's on that?

Oh yeah, and my driver's side keyhole only works for locking, not unlocking

Try lubing the window run with silicone spray, this usually provides a easy fix for a little while.
The window run usually gets filled with dirt, and the rubber becomes hard so the window is difficult to go up. The silicone conditions the rubber for a little while.
Though you could replace the window run if wanted a more permenent repair.

It seems like your power window motor is about to die. Just replace the window regulator (about $40 off ebay). Its really easy...I had to replace both my driver and passenger side regulators already...

If you can find links to the camry repair manual, it will help with taking apart the door. The hardest part is removing the door handle trim piece.

It's funny that you mention how your drivers side key cylinder won't unlock, because my passenger door does the same.

I think it might have to do with the fact that the Gen3 camry was one of the most commonly stolen cars of its era, heh

Anyways, thanks for the replies, guys, I'll definitely look into it
