intake plenum help

I need to remove the intake plenum to get to the rear fuel injectors. How do i remove the hex nuts. I'm not getting nearly enough toque with my allen wrench. Do I need a cheater bar that extends outside the engine bay?

I am guessing that you have a V6. I just did this on my wife's 93 camry. Lord is right and you need bits, but they are not Torque bits. They are just regular allen bits that fit to a 3/8ths rachet. Once you have the Intake Plenum off, the only other things to remove are the fuel rail and two 12mm bolts holding the fuel rail down. I had to wiggle the rear fuel rail a little to get it to come off, Mine was on there pretty good. One tip I can give is to put the injectors in the rail first and then seat them in the intake manifold. I did it the other way and wasted 9 gaskets getting them to seal.

Thanks guys. I ended up using a torx 50 socket. Ace hardware was the only place i could walk too, my front fuel injectors were out.

It sucked removing the plenum. IDK if i needed to but i diud remove the EGR. I finally got the rear fuel injectors out BUT i think i might have twisted the fuel rail like a good 90 degree. Tomorrow when its light I will be able to see everything in detail. I felt the lines and it didnt feel like anything got twisted ( i was able to feel the damage on my fuel filter line), so i think i might be able to just twist the fuel rail back into the right position.

I remember the first time I took that damn thing off. I didn't know there were two bolts on the back until I nearly had a hernia trying to pull the plenum out.

While I had mine out I took off the throttle body and took out the ACIS and cleaned everything out. It really needed it.
