Uh Does this sound right to you guys

So a while back i tested my front 3 ignition coils, they were 1.0-1.0. i thought it was okay because they were all the same resistance. Now i just got the camrystuff pdf and it says i the coils should be like 2/3rds that resistance. I havent tested the back but i bet they are also at the same resistance. That means I gotta replace all the coils. Does this sound right to you guys? Are the ignition coils supposed to break all at once?

So i just removed the rear ignition coils. All 6 test at 1.1 at cold. Can anyone here with a gen 3 1mz-fe test atleast their front coils resistance? I am really hesitant on spending 600 bucks for 6 new ignition coils.

I haven't ever checked my ignition coils actually....but the chances of them going bad all at once is very low...at least without obvious symptoms

the better question is- why do you think you need to change them?

I have a problem with my car. It always cranks but sometimes wont start or it will start n dies.

ur right about the chances of the ignition coils failing all at once is unlikely. My ohm reader read them at 1.0-1.1. So before i bought new ones i wanted a second opinion. I went to mar vac in costa mesa and got a really accurate reader. I'm betting the actualy testing wires were messing me up. Since the reader there gave me .5ish for each coil.

I'm going to go install my cleaned fuel injectors and see if they fix the problem.

Well i removed the fuel injectors. To anyone doing this. On the v6 model. remove the egr first, then the 6 bolts for the intake penum. Then the thing with all the hoses above the front fuel injectors. Also take out the gas cap.

Now this is the trickey step, if i knew this it would have saved me soo much time and hassle.

Between the rear fuel rail and the fuel filter, remove the bolt that is attached to a metal thing, attached to the fuel line. Then remove the fuel line return on the front rail on the right side. Now remove the fuel line on the rear rail on the left side. Now unscrew the 4 bolts holding down the rails. Remove the front rail and take out the fuel injectors. Then left the rear rail up and removes its injectors.

I swear if i knew this, it would have saved me soo much time, rebending the fuel lines into the proper position.

The first time i tried starting my car it failed since the fuel lines had air in them. The 2nd time it started and idk maybe its all in my head but it sounded very smooth. Hopefully cleaning the fuel injectors will fix my problem.
