2000 Trans Flush
I just go my Trans and coolant flushed at Lemeiux Toyota. I just bought the car and I don't have any maintenance records. I asked them if they drained the diff and refilled it. I know you had to do this on the Gen 3's because the diff is a separate section of the tranny. To the best of my Knowledge, you still have to do the same thing on the Gen 4's right? They told me "As long as we had it hooked up to the machine and ran the car, it would recirculate through the diff". I was a bit baffled and asked him again and explained to him why I didn't think he was right because of when my Diff blew on my 94, the tranny fluid was clear red while the diff was black. He insisted the book said they could do this. The only thing I could think of he might have been thinking of is the torque convertor, I know it'll flush that. Is he correct or is the toyota mechanic smoking crack? If you guys say he's smoked a bit too much, I'm gonna pull the plug a little and see what color comes out. If it's anything but clear, they are getting a ear full.
