I would stick to a certain price range you are comfortable with. I paid 400 for mine they are Kenwood Excelon 1710 P I will be upgrading to a MB Quart or Boston Acoustic soon as they provide good front stage and mids and highs without putting too much stress on my Kicker 650x4 amp.

How much are you willing to spend for a pair? That will determind on what you get. Component speakers will run you more. They are better than Full range (Has the woofer w/ tweeter) and you control the placement of the tweeters. Requires a bit more work to install depending on what you want.

Anyhow, you can get the speaker at Circuit City, Best buy or any other eletronic stores. If you know what you want to get, you could also see if a particular model is cheaper online. In this case, Newegg.com
