Can I get someone to take a picture of their cruise control set up under the hood?
Where the actuator mounts under the hood, and a shot of the cables hooked up tot he throttle body would be helpful. I just want to see if I need any additional parts to fit cruise into my car.
thanks!
mine is a 1994 4 cylinder , 5 speed, I am not sure if that will make a difference

I'll try to take pics if I have time today.
Mine is a 1995 4cyl auto. But the cruise box set up should be the same.
Jaybur,
I have a whole set of the install a cruise pics somewhere. I got it all done only to find my LE doesn't have the plug (under the glove box) for the "brain". I assume the brainbox is under the glovebox, but not on my 1996. Let me know if I can help!
Best,, John

OK, i'll look later this week. Not real confident. I gotta pick up a distributor o-ring tomorrow and I will ask the parts guy also. He's a TN lurker too. The comment i read about it being behind the dashpanel makes me wonder also. I cut the harness out of a 1992 and it isn't even close as far as the colors go...
I love the car but after say 4 hours of driving, no happy foot here!
Best, Jon
awesome, thanks for the photo, any possibility of 1 more shot of the throttle body connections?
thanks!
The blue cable goes to the throttle body, and the white cable goes to the firewall to the gas pedal. The throttle body on my car has one more cable, and that is the trans kick down cable.
Which should not apply on your car, as it is a 5 speed.
I don't yet have a pic of it, but will try to post one tomorrow.
Do you still have your non cruise throttle cable? If so, how much do you want for it?

are you absolutely sure they are not there? I bet it is just hidden away. If my DX came with the plug, your LE should have it!
I have a BRAIN for the 96 if you need it, I tried it in my 94, and it made my car do weird things!!
I installed the box from a 95 today, and the car liked that one!
I can not find it! I believe it should be green like the brainbox, but I have looked pretty close to no avail. Anyone have a pic of a 96 brainbox in working position? (Puleese?)

what would a brainbox be referring to? the ecu or the cruise control control module?
It would be the cruise one. According to the sho[ manual it's on the far right side of the glove box. I have mine gutted and can't find the plug. I assume the plug is green like the brains' receptacle...

its up under the black plastic piece above where the passengers feet would go... its a box about 4"x3", black, white plug, mounted right next to the ecu.
