92 Camry V6 A/C noise @ startup ??

1992 camry V6 3.0 auto 4dr you know.
When selecting the A/C button to ON
I get some chatter on startup then goes away
in about 8 or so seconds NOT blowing cold air
BLINKING A/C power green light switch.

What is the issue????

Any guidance would be appreciated.

It's likely the compressor is shot, or you have a low freon charge and the A/C system has shut down because of this, thus the blinking light. Chatter is a bad sign indicating a bad clutch or clutch bearing, or the compressor has broken inside. (ie. possibly no lubrication now.) $$$$ unfortunately since they usually have to open up the whole system and flush it and replace the compressor and other components possibly such as the receiver and maybe the TXV valve.
