front end confusion

as most of ya know i did the conversion from gen 4 to a 4.5 front end. i noticed that my inner fender wells didnt fill in the gap on the back of the new nose, and when i got to looking even closer this looks like a gen 4.5 aftermarket nose or something, i looked at other 4.5 and they all seem to match the curved in shape at the bottom of the gen 4 nose, mine doesnt... anyways check the pics...if someone can uncinfuse me let me know?

I don't quite understand what you feel like isn't matching up.

But do remember that the 00-01 came with the removable grill, which you currently do not have on. Try putting that on and see if it solves your problem. Hope that helps!

nah already solved that if you look at the bottom corners you can see the difference, all i have seen the bottom 'curves in' and follows the body line where as this one almost seems to flare out a little let me see iof i can edit the pics to show what im talking about

Does the "flare out" section occur on one side or both ? Because it looks better that way IMO...

if you put a gen 4 and a gen 4.5 front bumper side by side as in my pics i put up, the gen 4 at the bottom follows the rest of the body, it curves inward as it goes down, the 4.5 i have instead is alot less curved and in fact has a bit of a kick out right at the bottom, so the sides and front below the actual 'bumper' area are alot less curved...alot straighter, it doesnt match the gen 4's shape exactly. if i need to i can take a pic of the inner fender plastic to show the gap...

look close at the pics, when you see what im talking about it will be clear as day...or it is to me.

anywho the question i asked was this actually a 4.5 front nose or some other oddball nose because as far as i had seen the 4 and 4.5's were the same except for head and tail lights

close but not really exactly im sure if i had had time before the drunk hit me i woulda gotten all the little clips and stuff i needed from toyota to make it bolt up smooth, the corners and top of the grill matched, the lower grill, the clips below the corners all didnt match up. but it was alot easier then getting the new one to work...
