3rd Generation ABS code 36

Can someone verify what exactly this code is?? What should I look for in repairing it? Its the only code that is hanging up my ABS.

Thanks
Adam

Code is 36

Open circuit in left or right front speed sensor.

Check sensor resistance between terminals 0.6-1.8K ohm. Resistance of terminals to sensor body 1M ohm or greater.

Code 34 same as 36 except now either L or R front or rear sensor.

ECU is either not getting a signal or it is intermediate, fluctuating, ect.

I am getting conflicting info on what the error codes mean. I thought code 34 was rear left sensor problem? and 36 meant right front or rear left?

Correct me if I am wrong. If its a sensor that is causing the problem, I will replace one, but I don't want to start replacing every ABS component on my car.

Also, because I started to mess with the ABS codes under the hood in the diagnostics port, my Airbag light has come on and is staying on with code 22. I want this to dissappear too.

Thanks,
Adam
