^ While I didn't get control arm bushings from him, I HIGHLY recommend him as a seller. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and promptly, and he sent the bushings immediately after my payment cleared. Oh, I too have a '95 LE 4 cyl and I got the 1348K if you care.

VTEC It's like waiting for really bad sex.
Stumbled on this, which is good, but bad as I'm totally confused terminology wise.
I need the rear control arm bushings, but I've been seeing that the term is being used for different parts, which has me confused.
There's the four rear link bars [two front two rears] which seem to be needing to be replaced as a whole unit it seems, but this isn't what I'm referring to.
What I now as the control arm is the long barbell looking piece that runs back to front. My bushings are getting pretty warn and I need to replace these ones. So what is this part referred to as, and what bushings do I need for them?
I figured I would put my two cents in here for you all. Even though I'm more into offroading I figured I would atleast tell you to stay clear of poly bushings. Offroad parts can also serve as on road parts and are a hell of a lot stronger. With that being said I would suggest getting delrin bushings. They last very long, are very strong, don't give you that squeaking noise when they're not greased every 2k. They are a bit more expensive (you have to send in your old bushings and get them custom made) but well worth it in my opinion. Just thought I would throw that out in the air if you prefer quality over the cheapest thing you can get.

What u are referring to as the control arm is called "Strut Rod" by Toyota. The four links are just called "Lower arms". You differentiate by which ones have toe adjust. These can be replaced individually. To get the forward lower arms out the whole rear section has to come down because the long bolts that go through the eyelets on these arms are obstructed by the gas tank. Or you could drop the tank. It is easier to take the rear section after removing the exhaust hangers. A warning about the four bolts that hold up the rear section, these are often rusted and chaffed at the shoulder and will snap off easily. I recommend new replacements when dropping the rear.
this is for 97-01 camry, but will fit 92-96 camry. you can use this on front (8 bushing, 4 tubes). if you have an adjustable arm on rear. then you have to replace the whole thing.
Thanks, this helps a lot.
The bushings on the 'strut rod' are the more immediate concern as they're pretty worn and will in the next year have to be replaced. Rather replace the bushings than the whole thing as it can get pricey to do it that way.
As for the lower arms, one rear has been replaced already. The one that hasn't is showing signs of wear and will be on the to do list as well fairly soon.
does anyone know where i can buy a rear sway bar bushing for camry. i need a 20mm one for the TRD RSB. i accidentally lost one of my bushing and now i am trying to find a set. help me out.. thanks
