3rd Generation Performance chips?

Hey guys

I came across this today
now..

I drive a 93 Camry LE V6
Dad has a 2000 Lexus LS 400 and a
Chev Aveo 2000 LE V4

He had to buy the Aveo b/c of the messed up gas prices and he drives on average 150km/day

So I came across this Performance chip on eBay.. Now they have a chip for all three cars.

I want to know if anyone's ever used one/bought one, installed one? Do they work? Will it work?

Moreover - Will it eff up my cars in any way? ie: other parts of the car wearing out a lot faster?

Any inputs?

eBay link for the camry:

Aveo link:

It;s like the Tornado gas saver, just a way for people to make money off unsuspecting buyers.

Save your money.

any sort of ebay performance enhancer electronic is not worth anything except the box they send it to you in ...

if you want a "chip"-like upgrade, go buy a piggyback ecu device like an Apexi AFC and have your car tuned ... you will only gain either a few mpg, or a few hp depending on the tune - but thats about as good as your car can get without doing serious engine modifications

yeah after posting this i looked around some more and it looks like just the chips alone are useless

have to get new headers, performance exhaust, change the air intake, blah blah blah..

*sigh*

somethings really are too good to be true.

yeah neither did my dad until he realized he has to drive around 150 km per day for his work.. and with gas teh way they are.. it was killing him

he realized that even with buying a new car and paying for that plus the insurance, he's still saving money..

but who wouldn't want to save more money if they could right?

It depends I'm sure not many of us would think that way when we decide to hook up the ride. Anyways, you got the point, that's why I love my damn cam, lol.
