3rd Generation overheating problem please help

hi everyone

I have a 93 camry ,4 cylinder, no mods all stock engine and I have 232,000kms. I recently changed the oil,oil filter, thermostat, timing belt, water pump ,ps belt ,alternator belt and flushed the coolant and the car is still overheating im all out of ideas. The radiator is pretty brand new from previous owner. The coolant resovoir is always full. No coolant is oil . No white smoke out of the muffler and the cooling fans work. Its strange sometimes When i turn a/c on, it never overheats but right when i turn off a/c and drive a couple kms, it overheats. When it does overheat it gets hot but then the fans bring the temperature down again but gets hot again. Please help me Im lost.

thanks everyone

You could have a gauge or sensor problem. You might want to put a temperature gauge to the engine directly and see if that gauge and your dash gauge agree.

When you say that the gauge shows the engine overheating where does the needle point to. It isn't unusual for the needle to point a little bit past half way.

When you run the AC it forces both fans to be on continuously. When you have the AC off only one fan runs and it only comes on when the radiator temp sensor tells it to. If you unplug the radiator temp sensor at the fan, the single fan will run continuously. If the temperature remains where it should be with the AC off and just the one fan running continuously, then you might suspect that the radiator temperature sensor for the fan is failing. Or you could pull the radiator temp sensor and test its resistance in cold and hot water.
