99 Camry with 2-3 passengers bottoms out all the time

If I have 2-3 passengers in my 99 LE 2.2L, it'll bottom out over all but the smallest speed bumps pretty routinely.

Question:

- Would new shocks fix this? Or would it need a complete suspension overhaul? Or does the Camry just bottom out even with new suspensions? (My 99 has done this for years - but has gotten somewhat worse with age)

Car's only worth about $5,000.... so an $800 overhaul for shocks alone doesn't look too appealing...

yeah you need new struts, i replaced my front ones after 170k and my front end sat about an inch or 2 higher haha, also when i hit bumps i didnt keep bouncing along, and steering improved soo much, i think for 2 brand new struts with labor i got them for the front 2 for about $250 and if you plan on keeping the car for a few more years, its worth it (hey you might even see more mpg's!)

i had the same situation until i got these installed. i would bottom out everywhere. now i can hit a speed bump at 40mph with 2-3 passengers and it feels like i hit it at 10mph.
