I guess your V6 has a separate harmonic balancer, correct? Assuming it does, you are not going to see any difference in performance by switching to an aluminum crank belt pulley from a stamped steel one. Could be in for a rude awakening however if the stock pulley was also a harmonic balancer and you switch to an aluminum unit.

Don't think changing a balancer would make you go any faster. But if it is not dampening the engine, it will definitely let you know.

Yes, Ithink you should reconsider your decision. Once again, why do you want to replace the pulley / harmonic balancer?

If the original pulley was very heavy, like cast iron, it was made heavy for a reason, to dampen out engine roughness and shaking. Replacing with a much lighter unit will throw the balance of the engines rotating mass off and all sorts of bad things can happen. If the pulley WAS just a stamped steel unit and fairly light, changing to a even lighter aluminum unit will not do anything for you in terms of performance except reduce the cars weight by a few grams, big deal. If you want performance, this is not the place to look.
