ok guys my e53 5 speed tranny just went on my car i have a 93 camry v6 se four door. i have an oppurtunity to get a e153 tranny from a 2000 camry 5 speed will that bolt on to my motor and everything else or will i need the axles also. any help will be greatly appreciated
the SE doesnt have the e153? i was under teh notion that the gen3 SE 4 door, MR2 and gen4 camrys all had that manual tranny, just different variations in the gearing.
Bumping an older thread. If a 93 3VZ SE 5-speed has the E53, and the only major difference is the cones, wouldn't a E153 LSD fit in? I know the only difference between the two is essentially that the E53 has less and weaker synchros but a longer final drive ratio.

The E53 has double and triple cone synchros just like the 93+ E153. Not sure where you guys heard otherwise. The E52 and the 1990-1992 E153 have the early synchro designs (i.e. double cones and single synchro 5th)
