Instrument Cluster

I am just curious, but has anyone ever tried to swap in an ES300 instrument cluster? Anyone know if it is possible? I think that it would be neat to have the back light gauges.

I believe i heard somebody doing a swap from an ES250 to a Gen2 Camry, but I don't think this has been done on a Gen3 and up since the ES300/ES330 are significantly different interior wise. If it was an easy swap people would have done it.

hmm

They are similarly shaped. Looks like the trip reset and other functions for the digital display are on cluster bezel lower right and left. The cluster in the pics is a '93 ES300 model. I would say that there would almost have to be issues with this swap. Would have to look at the two side by side. I think I prefer the Camry cluster to be honest. The Lex cluster is flat.

I looked at some pictures of the es300 clusters on ebay, and it looks like the mounting points are different, and aside from that I saw ads on there for people repairing the clusters, apparently they have issues. you might even need the es300 connectors for that cluster, so CAN it be done, sure time and money will get what you want done. but is is plug and play? I don;t see it happening.

^ Correct. Got money? Have fun spending it. Not a plug and play.

Would love to find anything to replace the current instrument cluster on my 01, or at least the green LED to maybe white.

Is it the LED lights that give off the green or is the instrument panel it self have a translucent plastic thats green colored?

There is a green translucent film in there. The bulbs are white/clear. I do wonder what the cluster would look like with white LEDs.
