3rd Generation Trim Help

So i was reading on UFOz cardomain that he deleted his chrome window wrappings. Does anyone know how to successfully do this and how to do this? i dont like my chrome wrapping sticks out to much. Plus im aiming for a black and green theme anyways. so if worse comes to worse. how to i datke it off to paint it black and reinstal? lol

Well I can tell you right now it’s a pin in the ass. The front windshield snaps in on the top and screws in on the sides, all of the door gaskets need to be removed to be able to see the trim screws. The trim around the read windshield is clued in I has to be cut off and then reinstalled with window weld and seems to be the least easy thing to do. The doors need to have all the windows removed and the door seals then you will see screws holding everything in. I’ll go and tame some pictures for you of exactly what I’m talking about since I’m in the middle of it.

when i had my 02 Altima i did the same thing to the chrome trim. the altima guys used trimbrite blackout tape.

tape it off, scuff it with some 320 or 400 grit wet/ dry paper, and re tape it off and spray it.
