painting help

ok so i have asked alot of the guys on here on pm/aim about what to do. but i am painting my mirrors and toyota and CAMRY emblemes flat black in a few days.

What size grit is best for each? expecially the mirrors. i just want to get it done right the first time

And also should i do a matte/flat black? or more of a pearl type black which means me buying matte black and pearl black haha. what yall think would look better?

i think matte black would look best, maby semi gloss like the SE and DX ones. to get the old paint off, hit it with 300-600 gritt. then somthign finer liek 800 or so. plasticoat - primer - fine sand (800+) - primer - sand maby another primer - sand - clean - paint - wet sand and some more paint till done. that should do the trick. try to shoot for a day with low humidity if ya can.
