99 Camry Power Door Locks Will Not Work
My father-in-law owns a 1999 Camry. The power door locks are not properly working. We have replaced the batteries for both key fobs and still no luck.
The following problems were noted:
- Both key fobs will not lock or unlock the vehicle.
- We can't lock the doors with the door lock switch on either the ds or ps doors when the vehicle is not running.
- We can lock the doors with the door lock switch when the key is in the ignition and the vehicle is running.
- Door locks can be manually locked with a key.
- When attempting to lock/unlock the doors using the key fobs, I can hear the doors attempt to lock but they will not move into the locked position.
Does anyone have any ideas about what could be going on here? Bad sensors, actuators, etc. Thanks in advance for the help!
