False. A muffer deals with sound control, not smog control. I'm in SoCal, and I've got a Magnaflow. I haven't failed a smog test yet.

Smog is all in the catalytic converter, if I'm not mistaken... I second uibalnme's comment about sound control.

Magnaflows don't fart, they rumble, growl, and roar. All of those giant, round, canister mufflers fart like a piss off lawnmower with diarrhea.

I actually had a Magnaflow muffler during my smog/emissions test at the referee station and my car easily passed. Like others said, you shouldn't have a problem.

And I've had 2 Magnaflows on my Camry but I think the Apexi sounds better since it's deep in low RPM's and aggressive as the revs increase.

yeah i thought about the Apexi, but when i look at my budget, all i could do was .. so yeah i had planned on buying an muffler for a while but the budget never seem to give me a chance.. so i was talking to a buddy of mine and he said he had it lying around and if i wanted i can go pick it up for free which i did..

well in like an hour or so, hopefully i can get this bad boy in..
