3rd Generation a g'day from australia !!!PICS ADDED!!!

i've made my first purchase of a white, 1994, CSI widebody, 4cyl 2.2lt pretty much stock camry, $1000AUS with 11months reg. tinted windows aftermarket pioneer head unit, remote central locking & alarm 210,000kms on the OD and automatic tranny (unfotunate)

...after a pannel beat + re-spray on the rear bumper and RHS wheel arc and a good old wax job (for the cost of a slab of jimmys ...i love knowing people) and once over in the engine bay minor repairs (cracked manifold/a service/a new thermostat) ($200 inc. parts..once again 'i love knowing people) relacement of 2 interior dash bulbs...

so im all happy right? WRONG leave your car at moonee ponds (descent area) train station for a couple of afternoons and you'll find it with two minor dings in the rear bumber (RHS & LHS) a minor ding in the rear passenger door (where some idiot has opened their door) OH and a 2inch number 4 scratched into your boot...F*n idiots.
yeh i can repair it at not much cost....just a pain in the arse!

anyways... i hope to get some pics up here soon..and join in the fun...
ive been reading up on some mods/story's...

i think first i'll have to do away with the amber front/side indicators.... find some clear ones...

Welcome to TN!

I feel your pain about the dings, and scratches. Get those pics up, and start sharing your car with us.

Cheers!

I was wondering about that too. Looks like a stock Camry to me.

Maybe that's what they call a sedan down under?

Damn men, i thought i got a good deal on mine, u got the killer right there to work with.

For the dings, I say dont worry about it. "As long as u dont remember about it and people dont see it, it's not there ^^". I always try to park like in the corner of nowhere in any parking lot, lol.

Where abouts in Aussie are you?

They called it the widebody in aus because it was a mid-size family sedan which targeted the market of "the big 6's" (6 cyl family sedans - holden commodore and ford falcon)

Funny thing is though, holden also released a car which is based on the camry called the Holden Apollo.
