3rd Generation Removing caliper on rear disk brake help

Hi. I was about to remove the disks and the plates of my rear brakes on my 1992 v6 camry, but then I noticed the rear calipers on both wheels only have one bolt instead of two like the ones on the front brake. The bolt is at the bottom, while the upper section seems to be holding with a long screw that can't be removed by any conventional method. Am I missing something ?

Thanks for your time.

Loosen the bolt that is there and pry the caliper up. Its like a hinge.

Remove the two bolts holding the bracket that holds the pads, then you can remove the bracket, pads and caliper all together.

N.E.O.

After removing the 1 bolt, pull the caliper up and away. Hopefully you won't need the PB Blaster. That hinge should be lubricated just like a slide pin. If the rubber boot over it is in good shape, you won't have any rust.

Well, it turned out I could easily remove the disk on the right side and then replace it with a new one as well as some new plate (I had to buff the plates to remove some damn pin that get in the way of the cylinder). That said, I couldn't remove the disk on the left side. I could easily pull up the caliper without any problem, but the 2 bolts holding the bracket are stuck. I tried using some PB Blaster, wait, re-using some but they don't give a damn; they just won't move. I don't have a torch so I can't warm them. Guess I'll have to wait until one of my friend come back from his trip, so I can borrow him his tools. Until then, it's gonna be 3 new disks with new plates for each wheel.

Thanks for the tips guys.

you could use 1\2 inch socket and breaker bar and pb and a hamer or a large wrench for more leverage
