Can you hear the blower working when it happens? Or did it quit working? Or just no air flow?
Just a speculation: stuck expansion valve cause evaporator to freeze up, high pressure cause compressor to stop.
If that is the case, your A/C system should work after it defrost itself, but it may happen again.
N.E.O.
If it is the evaporator freezing, you could try cleaning it. It may be full of debris and not getting enough air flow through it, causing it to freeze.

It quit working. i don't hear anything blowing or no air flowing. When i turn the a/c switch on the a/c green light don't come on either. i checked the blower resistor connection with a test light and it is fine.. You think the blower resistor can go bad again, eventhough i changed it 2 months ago.
I tried the a/c again this evening, but still not working. So, I don't think its the evaporater freezing because i figures it would of thawed out..is the right.
You did check the fuses, right? If the blower isn't working, and assuming the fuses are good, it could either be the control head itself or the A/C amplifier; both require a little digging and testing.
The control head is the part with the buttons, and the amplifier could be mounted right on top or behind it. I would also recheck the resister again, to made sure that it didn't get burnt out because of high current draw from a defective blower.
ok, i gave in and took it to the dealership.. they said it was the blower fuse (i couldn't find where it was) and what might be causing it to trip was the a/c compressor clutch. I thought if they fixed the blower fuse the a/c should blow cold again, but it just blows hot air. So they are going to change the a/c compressor clutch and flush and recharge the a/c charging me 3 hours @ $96(for labor) plus $106 for a/c clutch and 129. to flush and recharge the system. Man i wish i could of done this myself.
