3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Thinking of getting a 2nd car soon and leaving my gf with the camry to get around town and whatnot. I want something I can swap my trd stb , muffler, and rsb into. I've been eyeing a 99-00 v6 Solara or a 99-00 ES300.
Thing is, i know the parts will swap into the Solara, but will they be a good fit on the es300? Tried looking up TRD'd es's and got nothing. If you guys can provide any pro's or cons about the es300, that'd be great. Or any links, would be really appreciated. Thanks guys.

The V6 engines in the gen 4 Camry, gen 1 Solara and that same year ES300 should have the same engine, the 1MZ. I thought that the ES and the Camry had the same chassis but the Lexus was more upscale.

Nope, 99 ES300 started VVT-i engines. The Camry did not start that till about 2003.
And they do have the same Chassis.
