Question VSV Canister install help

I just bought a new VSV for the charcoal canister for my 2000 Camry 5S-FE. It seems to have 3 vacuum connections. The part number for this is 90910-12271. Do I need to cap one of the portions off? On the old VSV there was a breather and a line on one side. The other side had just one line. What should I do?

did you get the exact part that you needed? as in, did you give your dealership your VIN and then have them check what you needed?

many components of the camry have different manufacturers for different parts and different designs, especially between cali and non-cali spec cars.

a vsv is something that you usually don't want to change.

but in your case you can try capping off the breather-side. But if you keep throwing a code, then go back and get the correct part

Why are you replacing the VSV? Which VSV are you replacing, canister purge or the tank switching?

It is the canister purge. I am replacing it due to codes P0440, P0441, P0446. So far it's working. I just left the extra part open for the time being. No codes thrown yet. It doesnt seem to have vacuum so I'm not worry about it sucking any debris in. However, I may just put a peice of clotch over it as a filter of some sort
