Hmm, wonder if this will fit the Gen 3 5SFE with a bit of alteration? I know the cost must mean that these pipes are cheap but, they are stainless and they are true 4-2-1.
Any thoughts? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...QQcmdZViewItem
what if you cut the flange from your original exhaust manifold and weld it to your new one, lol(but also cut out the new flange from the new part), but that's just if it wasn't the same.
but then there's the downside, you can't weld 2 different welds(what i mean is 2different metals) since it will cause quick corrosion...but i can't remember long time since welded and long time since i learn about metal and how to weld it, etc.
but if i'm right then you can just go and buy a 1in.thick plate of stainless steel, have some1 either mig or tig weld the part with the new design(with the flange from that 1 cut)...but with the new plate cut with the new design you know the holes...but i'm probably over thinking this.
my answer, you probably can alter it, question is do you have the resources to?
and if it's a fraud prime the welded joints, so they don't corrode away, lol.
Well, the flange is the same. 5SFE and 3SGE have the same bolt pattern. I was more worried about length vertically from flange to the downpipe bend. Also we have a TIG welder at the shop.
bolt up to the head should be the same, but the rest I think will be way different. Poeple in the past have talked about the Celica 5SFE headers and said they don;t easily fit the Camry.

5 Lug Corolla WHAT?
Not sure about the i4 but I think some guys over at solaraguy said the v6 obx design is a direct bolt on since they copied dats y pipe. <--For the v6's. Don't think I ever seen anybody try their i4 ones.
celica and mr2 headers dont fit the camry, supports get in the way so it has to be all cut up ... which will be expensive because any exhaust shop doesnt wanna do all that work

Supports are a minor concern. Okay lets start over. First off our shop has a tig welder. Secondly I can weld this MF like your momma goes through batteries. 3rd I don't goto other shops. No one touches my wheels but me. That includes my crash happy fiancee. Okay so downpipe is too short. (Thanks Bird) Thats a b@#$h since this one is 2 pipes. If the length is deficient by more than 2 inches I could pull it off. Sigh. Still might be worth the $. Better than starting from scratch.
Hej guys am new on this website but i got a 3rd generation camry and am looking for new headers i was wondering if anyone has tried to fit the headers from a 97 camry it seems like it would direct bolt but am not sure am wondering if anyone has ever tried it yet thanks
will it give you any benefits?
will it waste your time and money? most definitely.
if you want performance. save your money for something that will help.
