Swapped doors and the "door open" light is still on....

I just finished swapping out the passanger side front/rear doors, and after getting them back on and closed, we can't figure out how to get the doors to trigger - they are on snug, but the car does not sense that the doors are closed shut, so the interior dome light and dash light stay on.

Is there a sensor that we are missing somewhere? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Are the door jamb switches good? On some models without door jamb switch, the switch is part of the latch assembly.

Funny that I used to face the totally opposite problem - no light turn on for open doors.

I located the door jamb, open up the lastic cover, take out the sensor and sand down all the rusty. But hey, it's has never been swapped, so I think u might wanna double check the electrical wiring hardness.

grab a buddy and with the doors open, each press and hold the sensor to see if the light turns off. if it does turn off, then your door isnt making proper contact. if it doesnt, then there is something wrong with the switch or wiring.

why were the doors replaced? im guessing if it was because of an accident, the switch or switches might have been crushed and they are not located on the doors, so they would not have been replaced.
